Observation Engine

An extensible, lightweight tool designed to capture, group, and manage observations about you from all sources. Along with a reporting engine and achievement algorithms, the Observation Engine is the heart of Polka that pumps personal data into the right place at the right time.

Health Information Exchange

Polka supports individual information exchange. Our implementation natively supports open source information exchanges with partners using Continuity of Care Record (CCR) XML and industry standard vocabularies for exchange of data within the health system. Polka is part of the Health 2.0 Accelerator working with several teams to define and leverage industry standards for quality and portable data and services.

Me Server

Our original pattern, Me Server™ is a core pattern that enables secure personal information in the network. Polka is an innovator in credentialed and anonymous systems that enable a person to transact while remaining in control of personal information exchange. Polka brings it's ecosystem to partners and enables transactions to form around information in the pool. Observation Engine collects and stores my data, the Me Server gives me the control points to make sure it's used in the ideal state.

API

Polka's API focused on allowing application developers and health partners to provide specialized streams to my Polka. When we bring it together, personal information becomes a tool. Polka's API aim to tame the information into actions. We measuring, remind, and observe, and partners customize applications to fill in the pieces. The world is a big place, whether it's wellness, health, fitness, or lifestyle logging matters, and bringing it all together in one view is essential for change. Polka's first partner integrations being demonstrated at Health 2.0 October 7, 2009.
